New Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is a billionaire and a unique style model
Rishi Sunak was born in Southampton, the largest port city in the south of England, on May 12, 1980. The son of Indian parents who emigrated to the United Kingdom, Sunak studied at a private school only for men in Winchester. He followed his studies in politics and economics in Oxford, getting a scholarship at Stanford University. It was at this same university that he met his current wife, Akshata Murty, the daughter of an Indian billionaire. He even worked for Goldman Sachs.
He managed to join the British government in 2015 in Theresa May's second government. From support for Brexit, to the support given to Boris Johnson to become leader of the conservative party, Sunak has always been growing, until he became chief secretary of the treasury in 2019. He also held the position of chancellor of the treasury, after the resignation of Sajid Javid, and was one of the central pieces in the British response to the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. In 2022, Sunak resigned from office, citing political differences between him and the prime minister. All this led to the fall of Boris Johnson as prime minister.
He applied to take the place left by Boris Johnson in July of the same year, but ended up losing to Liz Truss. After the resignation of the prime minister, who was only in office for 45 days, the shortest in the history of the United Kingdom, Sunak ran again and with the withdrawal of his opponents, he was elected the leader of the conservative party, thus being elected the new prime minister of the country in October 2022.
Sunak, along with his wife, has an estate valued at 730 million pounds. He is the first politician to appear on the list of the richest in The Times magazine, since its creation in 1989. Sunak's fortune is twice that of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla. He is the first non-white prime minister to rule the United Kingdom and the second youngest prime minister in history.
Between the United Kingdom and the US, Sunak has four properties valued at 15 million pounds. He spends most of his time with his family at the mansion in Kensington, west London. Another of Sunak's properties is in California, where the movie "Baywatch" was recorded. Despite driving a Volkswagen Golf to work, the millionaire still has a Range Rover in the garage, a Lexus is a BMW, all considered top of the range.
