The 10 countries with a healthier population in the world / 2021

There are many countries in the world and each with its own unique style and identity. However, health is something very important for the well-being and happiness of its citizens.

The most developed countries have better health rates due to rapid access to medical resources, advanced medicine, access to food and drinking water. It is also in these countries that the highest rates of noise, light and air pollution are recorded, which lead to a degradation of the health of their populations, the appearance of diseases and deaths.

Despite this, it is in the least developed countries that the highest rates of unemployment, lack of food, very conditioned or restricted access to drinking water are observed, which increases the mortality rate. It is in these countries that the mortality rate in children is highest, due to the scarcity of resources and means. In these areas the diseases spread with a sudden intensity. This means that health conditions are lower than in more developed countries.

The Bloomberg Global Health Index was based on several factors to say which countries have a healthier population (and where the population is less healthy). The factors that have been taken into account are the following: health risks (tobacco, hypertension and obesity), access to drinking water, average life expectancy, malnutrition and causes of mortality.

The 10 countries with a healthier population are as follows:

  1. Spain

  2. Italy

  3. Iceland

  4. Japan

  5. Switzerland

  6. Sweden

  7. Australia

  8. Singapore
