Ryan Gosling didn't understand Barbie's Ken, until he bleached his hair and removed the hair from his legs
Ryan Gosling fits perfectly into the role of Ken. Dyed tanned, bleached blonde hair and wearing your own Ken underwear, is a role that fits perfectly into the Hollywood star. Despite the plastic abdomen and double jeans, the star took time to adapt.
"I only knew Ken from afar," said the actor, according to The Huffington Post. "I didn't know Ken from the inside and, if I'm really honest, I doubted my Kenergy."
"I didn't see it, but Margot and Greta, they evoked it from me in some way. It was like I was living my life and then one day I was lightening my hair, shaving my legs, wearing bespoke neon clothes and skating along the beach of Venice," he said.
"It lit up like a slight scarlet fever," he joked. "And then I woke up one day and was like, 'Why is there a fake tanner on my sheets? What just happened?'"
"After being expelled from Barbieland for being a less than perfect-looking doll, Barbie leaves for the human world to find true happiness," says the synopsis of the Warner Bros. film. "Living in Barbie Land is being a perfect being in a perfect place. Unless you have a complete existential crisis. Or you're a Ken."
"People have no idea what to expect, and I think that's the right vibe. Whatever you think it is, it's not that. It's something else," America Ferrera said in an interview with People.
