Spending Nights Outdoors, Like Camping, Can Be The Secret Of Happiness

Spending a night under the brightness of the stars, immersed in nature and its sounds, and away from the worries of your daily life, almost seems like a dream. According to a study by Liverpool John Moores University and Sheffield Hallam University, both from the United Kingdom, these moments can not only provide memorable moments, but how to increase our happiness and sense of well-being.

97% of campers seek to camp mainly to feel happy, while 93% value the outdoors for its health and well-being benefits. The results are clear, by demonstrating that the levels of happiness are higher in individuals who practice camping, in addition to satisfaction also being higher.

44% of campers had their mental health evaluated as great, compared to the other 31% who do not camp or spend time outdoors. Nature, the tranquillity it provides, the disconnection of problems, contribute to a more relaxed, positive, balanced and healthy state of mind.

The study also concluded that you did not need to camp every day to feel fulfilled and happy, since 48% of campers said they felt happy every day, compared to the 35% who feel happy every day and who do not practice camping. Camping has a lasting effect of happiness on the lives of people who enjoy nature and disconnect from their daily lives.

88% of people who practice camping revealed higher levels of psychological well-being, compared to those who do not. The connection to nature, outdoor physical activities, the feeling of freedom, all this contributes to a greater sense of purpose, satisfaction and inner peace.
