Plank is one of the most effective exercises to work the body. Many may ask if just one minute in this position is enough to get results. The good news is that, according to doctor Albert Matheny, one minute is really enough.

For Matheny, the desired benefits of plank, such as greater endurance, a toned core, firm buttocks and strong arms, it is not necessary to do the exercise every day or exceed 60 seconds in the same position. The secret is to get the technique right and keep the position for a minute.

Staying in the plank position for more than a minute can be very challenging and even increase the risk of injury, as it increases the tension in the body and can lead to curvature of the back. Therefore, the quality of execution for one minute is more important than the time spent on the plank.
