From Barber To Bodybuilder: The Strength And Determination Of Rammy Andrei

Rammy Andrei lives in Bucharest, the capital of Romania. Together with a friend, they hold a barbershop. But Rammy's true love is physical exercise. Outside of his work, he is 100% dedicated to fitness and his dream is to have his own fitness gym and make a worldwide expansion.

It was at the age of 15 that Rammy first entered a gym and the love was instant: "At the time, everything was so strange and new for me, but after the first pump the feeling was incredible. I fell in love — I can say that with a feeling.”

One of the things Rammy loves most in the world of fitness is bodybuilding. Being able to see the results of the hard effort motivates you to want to be better: "The great thing that I like about bodybuilding is that line that you cross year after year and progressing, I love it when I see the evolution of my hard work through my own body." Another thing you also like at this stage of the bodybuilder is the shredding period.

He gets up every day at 6 a.m. and starts cardio training on an empty stomach. Their periods of alienation are fast. Rammy eats a total of six meals a day and only goes to the gym once a day, except Sundays to rest. When he is in prep, he goes to the gym twice a day.

Rammy loves it when it comes to exercising his chest and shoulders. And how is he motivated for this? “Every day I tell myself that I'm going to get up there, no matter how many times I fall or how many years could take, I will try and try until my last drop!”.

After 13 years of gym and 4 years of bodybuilding, Rammy says he has never suffered any health problems because he is very careful with the exercises and the way he practices them. Sleeping between 6 and 8 hours is ideal.

“My target per day in off-season is to intake: 250 g of protein, 450 – 300 – 150 g of carbs and 90 g of fats (good fats). When I'm going in prep, I'm cutting slowly carbs and going progressive with everything. My intake macros per day are: 300 g of protein, 200 g - 100g of carbs and 72 g of fats," Rammy reveals.

In addition, Rammy also trains several people, all through online. At the moment he has a project in hand, the Pro Card, which started in 2021. Through this project, he wants to inspire more people to follow the same path he has taken so far. In the future, Rammy will want to settle down and raise his own family. “No matter how hard it is or it gets, don't give up! You're doing the right thing, keep grinding until you get there!", is his life motto.
