Cristiano Ronaldo’s routine to be in shape for the Qatar World Cup
Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t measure himself easily in numbers. At the age of 37, the Portuguese player maintains an excellent physical shape and is prepared for any challenge. There are very few who are indifferent to the performances and the toned and muscular body of the captain of the Portuguese national football team.
The player practices very intense training and recovery rituals that is not for anyone. The Portuguese athlete trains five days a week, followed by two days of rest. Each day is to train a different part of the body with very localized exercises.
Monday
The week begins with a leg workout, with lunges, squats, jumps to the box, side bounds and jumps in length. In total, five exercises are done in circuit. These exercises are repeated three times to try to improve the results.
Tuesday

Wednesday
At the middle of the week, high-intensity exercises centered on the upper body are applied. All the following exercises are repeated three times. In this case it’s the push-ups.
Thursday
On this day the player tests the limits with power cleans and sprints. A workout designed to strengthen thighs and improve endurance.
Friday

Sunday
On Sundays Cristiano usually practices cardio and running.
Although the Portuguese player trains a lot, Ronaldo does not dispense with a good quality of sleep and regularly takes cold water baths to recover muscle wasting.
